Prior to joining the Department of Engineering, gaining industrial experience is becoming a more popular option. If this is something of interest, a good place to start is to ask your school or education provider for advice and details on local companies who have supported school work placements.

Validating pre-university experience

It is possible to complete your industrial experience prior to you joining the Department of Engineering. However, the work that you undertake must meet department criteria and be recorded and verified by the employer.
